How $SKY rewards work
When a node is online and correctly configured, the Skybound Network protocol credits the operator with rewards denominated in $SKY for the validation work the node performs. Rewards are variable and algorithmic, not guaranteed, and begin accruing at network Go-Live.

What determines a node's rewards

What exactly is a Skybound Node?+
A Skybound Node is founding infrastructure for the Skybound network. When the network is live, nodes are designed to help process bookings, validate interactions, and support the membership ecosystem. As a Genesis operator you hold a permanent founding position in the core engagement-validation network. The network is in presale today, so nodes are not yet operational.
What does 'Genesis' mean?+
For six months only, nodes are issued as Genesis nodes — permanent founding infrastructure with governance voting rights. When the window closes, the foundation is complete and no more Genesis nodes will ever be issued.
How am I rewarded?+
When the network is live, operators may earn Skybound network tokens ($SKY) — paid in tokens, not fiat — for the validation work their node performs. Rewards are issued by the SKYBound Network, not by SKYBound DAO LLC, and are variable and not guaranteed. Because the network is in presale, a node may not earn rewards for an extended period, and if the technology is never completed it may never earn.
Where does my node run?+
You choose. Self-host the node on your own hardware, or deploy it with a certified third-party Skybound hosting partner. You are responsible for the costs of running your node — such as energy, hosting, and network fees — and you keep ownership of the license and any $SKY rewards it earns.
Are the reward estimates guaranteed?+
No. $SKY reward figures are illustrative and depend on network activity. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
Can I get a refund?+
No. Node purchases are non-refundable, as set out in the acknowledgments you affirm at checkout.
Can I transfer my node license?+
Not initially. Your node license is non-transferrable for at least twenty-four (24) months, and any transfer or assignment thereafter must comply with requirements that have yet to be published by SKYBound DAO LLC.
